Saugatuck-Douglas District Library
The new library building has been designed to achieve the goals presented by the community and has the capacity to evolve as technology and community needs change. The new building would be located on the vacant lot on the north side of Center Street in Douglas, which was purchased by the Library in 2014.
Words from Our Project Manager:
“We went through 11 cases of caulk to make this exterior seamless. Very clean white exterior with great looking lines. Interior had prefinished beams running throughout the main area. A&G the General Contractor put up knotty pine tongue and groove boards running between the beams. We oil primed all the pine then applied two top coats to give it that clean white look against the beams.”
